Prayer Week is now in its 8th year and consists of diverse local events, often with groups of churches getting together to pray for their own localities, which sees people up and down the UK spending some time together in prayer throughout the week.
Global Day of Prayer

As the name would suggest, the Global Day of Prayer is a day when people and churches across the world join together, through a wide range of events, in prayer.

Edinburgh, '7 Hills event'
11 May 2008 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Venue - Edinburgh
This year we have felt the call to go to the city's "high places" to worship and pray and therefore are proposing a "Seven Hills" prayer event for Edinburgh. We would like to see Christians from across the city on each of the seven hills (Castle Hill, Corstorphine Hill, Craiglockhart Hill, Calton Hill, Blackford Hill, Arthur's Seat, Craigmillar Castle Hill) gathering to worship, pray and make declarations over the city. There will be one or two co-ordinators for each hill who will take the role of helping coordinate the climb and prayers at the top. We envisage local churches adopting their 'local hill' to climb, but people will be free to climb whichever hill they choose.
